97 impreza L

I am looking for a 97 impreza L I believe the chassis is a G10 and the engine is a EJ18 I want to start off small. I am kinda hoping for crank windows. 5 speed is a must kinda hoping to find one for under 1000?!?! not going to be street legal its going to be my rally car. im hoping to get it ready for the rally in Harrisville NY in sept if anyone knows somone who is selling one or a dealor or shop that can help me find one I would greatly appriciate the help! :dance:

The "b", "G" and "C" monikers are an internal subaru code and are nothing that anyone from the public to the dealerships even use anymore. The website that you saw got some old info and ran with it. pure and simple.

in other news, where I work NAPA, they still ask what the computer asks, " does that outback have a 2.2l or a 2.5l engine" (outbacks ONLY came with a 2.5l talking legacy outback, not impreza). parts websites are rare in knowing what subarus have or need.
