rear bumper scuffed by a jerko following 2 close b4 the sikorsky bridge (usual break check spot) a few weeks after i got my rex
i already cleaned and painted with some wrb touch up paint
yesterday afternoon i picked up sandpaper (800, 1000 and 1500 dry/wet), a rubber block, some meguiars clear coat safe polish and set out to buff my baby
i started with the 1000 grit wet sand to smooth the touch up paint out, its going to need a few coats of touch up cuz the black color plastic is showing trough. i dryed the area and noticed it hazed up a bigger area (clearcoat?) then i wanted. i put a second coat of wrb on and will switch to 1500 wet sand tonight.
will i need to clearcoat the whole area, sand and polish to finish?
i'm thinking of also goint to an air spray canister, the paint on touch up bottle is hard to get consistant coating down.
any comments, tips....etc. from the more experianced would rule :rocker:
