eh...

i saw the v6 coupe as a competior to the infiniti g35/7 coupe and bmw 3 series coupe.. similar power bargin basement price. but im guessing the 2.0t will be awesome... i mean who else is selling a rear drive couple for under 23k... other than the camaro v6 with DI pushing 300 hp i don't see much else... not counting the current herd of fwd thats already out.

The V6 coupe is supposed to be a competitor to the G coupes and the 3 series coupe but when it comes to power it just doesn't have it. I really hope the 2.0t is awesome and I sincerely hope Hyundai will be able to keep it at that low price. Stock the 2.0t doesn't seem like it'll be much of a car but lets hope it's like many turbocharged cars *ahem* and takes well to basic mods. The price of the 2.0t should appeal to the tuner crowd quite nicely.

the g35 coupe only had 300 hp in 6 speed form eariler auto versions had 260 and later 280. the new g37 has 330-something but with .7 liters more motor.

the previous gen 3 series in 325 form only had 184 hp the 328 had 225hp
the current 325 is a 3 liter with 250 hp and the twin turbo has 300 hp... with twin turbos...
considering the genesis' v6 makes 300 hp and the fact that its gonna be several thousands less than either the 3 or G its not much of a trade off.

On a side note Audi's a5 v6 only has 250 hp... and its a 3.2l
and if you really dig into it. the hyundais only competior for 25 k is the mustang with has 300 hp BUT has a 4.6L V8...
if you compare the v6 genenis to the v6 mustang... it blows it out of the fucking water...
and though the new 2010 mustang is a sexy beast!!!


and yes the 2.0T will suck stock.. but thats what the aftermarket is for.... but also you have to consider...its gonna be about 20K for the stripper version... turbo + rwd< 22K more money for mods
